Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close watch on the development of Benfica winger Andrija Zivkovic. The 21-year-old recently picked up an assist in his side's 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, the Europa League holders are closely monitoring the progress of Zivkovic, who made his breakthrough in the Primeira Liga last season.

Zivkovic has been regarded as one of the finest talents from Serbia after he made his debut for Partizan Belgrade at a tender age of 17. He joined Benfica in the summer of 2016 and played a significant role in the second half of last season.

Jose Mourinho had repeatedly iterated his intention to sign a new winger in the summer, and it appears that Zivkovic is among the potential targets for United when the transfer window reopens in January.

The young attacker is likely to feature in both Champions League games against United this season, and Mourinho will have the chance to analyse the player's performance in close quarters before making a decision.
