Ghana international linked with £10m move to Chelsea
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will reportedly send scouts to monitor the progress of former Juventus striker Richmond Boakye. The 24-year-old is currently in the ranks of Red Star Belgrade, for whom he has contributed 11 goals this term.
According to Ghanasoccernet, the Blues will monitor the progress of the Ghana international under the request of Conte. It is added that the Blues will keep tabs on Boakye during the Europa League double-header against Arsenal on October 19 and November 2 respectively.
Boakye initially joined Red Star Belgrade from Italian side Latina on loan in January, netting 16 goals in the second half of the 2016/17 season. The striker has since sealed his move to Belgrade on a free, but it is suggested that a £10m sum could tempt the club into a future sale.
Boakye was recently part of the Ghanaian national side which drew 0-0 versus Uganda in a World Cup qualifier, which eliminated them from next year's tournament in Russia.
