Former Arsenal star pursued by Wolfsburg
Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna is reportedly considering a move to German club Wolfsburg. The France international has been a free-agent since his release from the Citizens in late May.
Sagna has been associated with a whole host of Premier League clubs including Swansea City, and Leicester City in recent weeks, but according to The Sun, he has set his sights on a move to Wolfsburg.
The Bundesliga outfit are presently lying a lowly 14th in the standings, and new boss Martin Schmidt is keen to add Sagna to his ranks due to his ability to play at both right-back and centre-back.
Serie A heavyweights AC Milan and Inter Milan are also said to have approached the Euro 2016 finalist, who is said to be eyeing a fresh challenge in a new league.
Sagna spent 11 long seasons with Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League, but he found not much success in terms of major trophies rather than the FA Cup triumph with the Gunners in 2014.
