Lampard thanks Chelsea fans
Frank Lampard has taken the time to thank the Chelsea fans after he scored his 200th and 201st goals for club at the weekend. The midfielder believes the fans have been instrumental in helping him succeed.
"I was merely saying the goals were for the fans, for the support I've had. Coming across London from West Ham is not an easy move and the backing I've had from them, the relationship I've had with the club, has been fantastic.
"It is a relief to get to the 100-mark because I was on 99 and then I got injured. I would have liked the ton to have come over Christmas time because that would have been a nice present.
"I was very pleased to do it in front of the home fans because they have been the ones who have supported me since I have been at the club. To do it in front of them was great."
