Manchester United agree signing of Benfica wonderkid?
Manchester United are reported to have finalised an agreement to sign Benfica youngster Umaro Embalo.
The Portugal youth international has been monitored by United scouts since the summer, and it appears that the club have struck a deal with their Primeira Liga counterparts.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, both clubs have sorted out a move for the 16-year-old, who has been likened to former Benfica winger Angel di Maria.
United had a bid of around £4m turned down for the promising teenager in the summer, but they have supposedly made an improved bid which has sealed the deal.
Embalo's transfer is due to be completed in the winter transfer window, and he is likely link up with United's youth squad for the second half of the season.
The youngster has prior experience playing in Manchester after he featured in the 2-2 draw versus United in the UEFA Youth League this term. Embalo has also been a huge hit with the Portuguese Under-17 side for whom he has contributed 15 goals in just 17 outings.
