Dunn: right to reject Bolton

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn has confessed he feels he made the right decision for his career after rejecting a January transfer move to Premiership rivals Bolton Wanderers.

Dunn said: "I could have been a Bolton player and they and the other English teams have done really well in Europe this past week. I couldn't help think we should have been there, too, but we didn't take our chances earlier in the competition so the incentive is for us to make sure we qualify for next season.

"Once Blackburn came in for me there was really only one choice. I'm back home here, with my family and friends around me. That makes it easier, especially seeing my little girl much more.

"But age and experience have changed me. The first time round I was probably more bothered about David Dunn than Blackburn Rovers. Now I'm not too worried about David Dunn anymore. I'm more worried about the team and doing the job the manager wants me to.

"You have to sacrifice your own game at times for the good of the team. That comes with maturity and learning to be less selfish."
