Inter Milan step up pursuit of Manchester United defender
Inter Milan have reportedly upped their interest in signing Dutch defender Daley Blind from Manchester United this summer.
The Netherlands international started the previous campaign as the first-choice left-back and he managed to make starts in the first three league games.
However, he thereafter dropped down the pecking order with Ashley Young and Luke Shaw preferred ahead of him and he could only rack one more start before the end of the season.
Blind has since admitted that he could consider a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Inter Milan are among the contenders.
Luciano Spalletti's side are expected to bolster their defensive ranks ahead of their Champions League challenge and it is suggested that they will monitor Blind's showing against Italy on Monday.
Despite being primarily a left-back, Blind has shown his versatility during his time at Old Trafford after having featured in the central defensive and central midfield roles.
