Sagna: Pogba is doing his job properly
Former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has said that Paul Pogba is doing his job right ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Frenchman praised the Manchester United midfielder's talent, and has said he expects his fellow Frenchman to do well in Russia.
Pogba has faced criticism ahead of the World Cup, but Sagna is not part of those who think the former Juventus man is performing poorly.
"He is very talented, naturally gifted, but he is a holding midfielder player," Sagna told Omnisport.
"As midfield players you need to defend first and that is what he is doing, he is focusing on the team.
"He has a big character and he is really confident in himself and I know Paul will shine during the World Cup"
Despite the criticism leveled against him, it is expected that Pogba will be an important person for France as they bid to win their second World Cup.
France have been pitted alongside Peru, Denmark, and Australia in their World Cup group in Russia. Their first game will come on the 16th of June against Australia.
