Everton are close to acquiring the services of Richarlison after agreeing on an initial fee worth £44m for the Watford forward.

According to The Mail, Richarlison has been left out of the Hornets' squad for the friendly against Fortuna Dusseldorf and his transfer to the Toffees is now on the brink of completion.

The 21-year-old has been given the permission to head to Merseyside to complete the necessary formalities and the Toffees could announce his signing in the next 24 hours.

Richalison proved a good hit for Watford during the early phase of the 2017/18 campaign with five goals but he could not replicate his showing thereafter with no goals in the final 23 league games.

Nevertheless, the potential was on display during his maiden season in the top-flight and hopefully, he can make a huge impression with Everton, who have high expectations for next term.

Richarlison could be one of the many signings for the Merseyside outfit in the summer transfer window as they seek to push for European qualification next season.
