Real Madrid interested in Tottenham goalkeeper
Champions League holders Real Madrid are interested in signing France and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, according to The Sun.
Real Madrid are looking to tempt Spurs with a £60m offer for the World Cup winner. Lloris was between the sticks as France won their second World Cup in Russia. Real Madrid are known for signing World Cup and Ballon d'Or winners and could just be going after Lloris for his being a World Cup winner.
However, Real Madrid and a host of other clubs know that Tottenham cannot be easily bullied in the transfer market. Chairman Daniel Levy is known to be a tough negotiator and Real could be in for lengthy talks as they bid to get Lloris.
This latest news casts doubt over the transfer of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea to Real Madrid after it was reported that the two clubs have agreed a £31m deal for the Belgian to move to Spain.
Lloris is currently on vacation and is expected to report to Spurs next month.
