Loris Karius close to Besiktas loan move?
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is reportedly close to joining Turkish giants Besiktas on a two-year loan move.
The Germany international has become the Reds' back-up goalkeeper following the summer signing of Alisson Becker and it now appears that he could be heading through the exit door ahead of third-choice keeper Simon Mignolet.
Earlier this month, Mignolet was widely fancied to make way from the Merseyside giants with Napoli keen on acquiring his services. However, the Belgian's move no longer appears a possibility with the Serie A side deciding to sign David Ospina from Arsenal instead.
According to Evening Standard, Karius could now be the shot-stopper sacrificing his deputy role with Besiktas keen on acquiring his signature before the transfer deadline.
The Turkish club are prepared to sign the keeper on a two-year loan with the obligation to buy for £7m, provided the criteria for appearances and qualification for European competition are met.
