Arsenal interested in Ligue 1 winger
Arsenal are reportedly considering an approach for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The 23-year-old had a strong season with Lille despite their league struggles last term and he ended the campaign with 13 goals in 36 games across all competitions.
He has continued his bright form this season with a goal and an assist from the opening-day triumph over Rennes and L'Equipe reports that the Gunners are now weighing up an approach for his signature.
However, the north London side are not alone in the player's pursuit with Lyon, Real Betis and Sevilla all said to hold an interest in the Ivory Coast international.
Earlier this summer, Southampton had failed with a £12.5m offer for the attacker and it is now claimed that Lille could demand as much as £40m for Pepe in the New Year.
Pepe presently has four years left on his existing deal with the former French champions. He has represented the Ivory Coast on eight occasions, contributing three goals in the process.
