Real Madrid coach speaks on the possibility of signing Neymar and Mbappe

Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has refused to be drawn into discussions over the future of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The PSG duo were linked with a move to the Champions League holders during the summer transfer window, but the players have remained in Paris with Real making no bids.

“An interest in Neymar and Mbappe? Neymar and Mbappe are two fantastic players, but I do not pay attention, they are not in my team,” Lopetegui said, the Express reports.

Both Neymar and Mbappe are the current top scorers in Ligue 1 with four goals each.

PSG also top Ligue 1 after starting the season with a perfect record of four consecutive wins.

Mbappe scored 13 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games for PSG last season, while Neymar netted 19 times in 20 appearances as the Paris side won the title.

Both players represented their country at the World Cup in Russia, but only Mbappe rose victorious, winning the tournament for France for the first time since 1998.
