Jermain Defoe believes that Portsmouth are going places. After helping dump Man Utd out of the FA Cup and heading into the semi finals, the striker feels that the club are going places. Portsmouth are now favorites for the FA Cup.

Defoe said: "I'm really enjoying it here. I'm enjoying training a lot. Credit to the boys for making me feel at home, really. I knew a few of them anyway. But the lads are great here and the spirit is really good, so that has helped me.

"I feel at home here now definitely. I'm in a hotel at the moment but I'm viewing a few houses and hopefully can get it sorted soon. It's a nice club with a good atmosphere. The most important thing is playing week-in, week-out, or as often as I can.

"This is a team who can go places. Everyone believes we can go far. We have international players here. When I got the phone call I looked at the squad and thought Portsmouth was the place to go. This is a great opportunity for me.

"The club were doing well before I arrived. I just want to keep pushing us up the league now I'm here. Hopefully I can help them do that."
