Man Utd eyeing surprise deal for Crystal Palace star

Manchester United are reportedly interested in landing the signature of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.

The Red Devils are expected to land a new central defender in the next transfer window with Raphael Varane set to depart.

The Frenchman's current deal expires at the end of June and no talks are planned with the hierarchy over a new contract.

He could realistically walk out on a free transfer and United seem to be interested in replacing him with Guehi this summer.

The former Chelsea man has his sights on a bigger challenge away from Palace and he is expected to leave later this year.

Palace are willing to part ways with him for £55m, but a deal may eventually depend on his fitness in the coming months.

He recently underwent a knee surgery but is anticipated to return before the end of the season. His situation could be monitored.

Guehi is also on the radar of Arsenal, but they may not assure him gametime with William Saliba and Gabriel being assured starters.
