Manchester City, Liverpool vying for Napoli midfielder
Manchester City and Liverpool could reportedly go head-to-head with Real Madrid to pursue the services of Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski next summer.
According to Calciomercato, both City and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the Poland international despite the midfielder only recently signed a long-term deal.
However, they are likely to face a bidding battle with Los Blancos for the summer whilst the player's hefty £107m release clause could also prove a stumbling block.
Zielinski joined the Naples outfit from Udinese in the summer of 2016 and he has since commanded a regular role with nearly 100 appearances across all competitions.
The Poland international is capable of operating across a number of midfield positions and he has already laid his mark with the national team with six goals from 37 appearances.
He is presently on international duty with Poland and he recently netted the opening goal during the 1-1 draw against Italy in the Nations League opener in Bologna.
