Marcelo eyes move to Juventus in January
Real Madrid left-back Marcelo has told the club's hierarchy that he intends to depart the Spanish outfit in favour of a move to Juventus. The Serie A side are long-term admirers of the Brazilian defender and are confident that a move can be agreed during the January transfer window.
Marcelo, praised by many as the best left-back in the world, has in recent times struggled for regular first-team action and has told reporters previously he would consider a move away.
However, in a more recent development, Marcelo has now suggested that he plans to leave Real Madrid for a move to Juventus, where he will link up again with former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A.
Italian newspaper Tutto Sport confirmed that Marcelo is seeking a move away from the Spanish capital and Juventus are his preferred move.
It is understood that should Marcelo leave the club, Premier League rivals Man City and Tottenham are also interested in a move for the veteran defender, who would be allowed to leave for a fee of around 14.5 million euros.
