Coppell: dont get complacent

Reading boss Steve Coppell has warned his players not to get complacent as the Royals' mini-revival helped claw them into 14th place in the Premiership, but Coppell warned the side that they must continue performing if they want to stay in the top flight.

"This side is capable fo getting to the safety net of 40 points, I believe that," he said. "You get to 40 points and that's our mission from now to the end of the season, it's the most important thing in our lives.

"The feeling we are going for is the one at the end of the season when we know our work has paid off. It's very much a work in progress, we know two wins make a difference but our significant goal is still in front of us.

"There's no way we can relax. Where we are in the table right now doesn't matter. It's just about points. They're not going to finish the season now, are they? So don't even bother looking at the table.

"Just concentrate on how many points you get. If we continue this way, only then can we look back on the season with pride. Until then, we're looking over the shoulder and that is the motivation to push us on."
