Defoe praises team mates

Portsmouth striker Jermain Defoe reserved praise for his Pompey team mates for the excellent service they have offered him since joining from Tottenham. Defoe bagged an excellent goal in the defeat of Aston Villa in the Premiership on Saturday.
"At the moment all I want to do is keep this run going because I've always believed in myself and always said I would score goals if I got a decent run of games," he said.
"I think my strength is my movement. I always try to move defenders around and I was really pleased with how I did it against a good side like Villa.
"But it is much easier when you have good players around you and Johnno (Glen Johnson) and Sulley (Muntari) both found me with great passes.
"Okay, we got a bit lucky with the second goal but all things are possible for strikers when you get great service."
