Newcastle United interested in Tammy Abraham?

Newcastle United have reportedly joined Crystal Palace in the race to sign Tammy Abraham on a temporary basis from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens.
The England international is currently enjoying a fruitful loan stint with Aston Villa in the Championship and he has already netted 12 times in just 16 matches.
Amidst this form, the Blues are understood to be pondering over a potential recall for the striker with a number of Premier League sides keen on taking him on loan.
Crystal Palace have already been mentioned as a possible destination for the 21-year-old forward but according to Northern Echo, they could face stiff competition from Rafael Benitez's side.
The Magpies recruited two strikers in the form of Salomon Rondon and Yoshinori Muto last summer and the latter has recently shown signs of form after contributing a goal or an assist in each of the previous three league games.
Still, the Venezuela international has not been consistent enough on the long stretch and Benitez appears keen on adding competitor to the ranks for the backend of the season.
