Manchester United in race to sign Luis Suarez?
Manchester United are reportedly plotting a surprise attempt to sign Luis Suarez from Barcelona during the 2019 summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan has enjoyed a successful stint with the Catalan giants since 2014, contributing 168 goals in 229 appearances across all competitions.
However, his future with the Blaugrana remains unclear for the long-term, given he has already turned 32 years of age and the club are in the search for a younger marksman.
According to GOL Digital, United are among the candidates looking into a summer swoop for the Uruguay international, who has previously played for fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Spanish champions have remained quiet regarding the long-term future of Suarez but reports indicate that they will contemplate the option to buy at the right price in the summer.
Aside from United, a number of Chinese Super League sides are keeping tabs on Suarez but it is uncertain whether the Uruguayan would fancy a lower-level challenge in the Far East.
