Manchester United have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign long-term target Toni Kroos from Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Germany international came on the cusp of joining the Red Devils from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2013 before he made a surprise U-turn at the final hurdle.

A year later, the 29-year-old made the switch to Los Blancos, where he has won four Champions League titles and one La Liga crown in the past four-and-a-half seasons.

According to The Sun, Los Blancos are considering the sale of the midfielder in the summer with manager Zinedine Zidane keen to freshen things up in the centre of the park.

This is said to have caught the attention of United, who have been following up the developments of the German in the recent years after missing out on his signature.

Kroos, who is already a World Cup winner with Germany, is valued at around £50m by the outgoing European champions. He has three years remaining on his existing Real Madrid deal.
