Manchester City plan record swoop for Leicester City star?

Manchester City could reportedly make a record-breaking offer to acquire the signature of Harry Maguire from Leicester City during the summer transfer window.

The Citizens made the solitary senior signing in Riyad Mahrez in the previous summer transfer window but Guardiola has already confirmed that the club will be much busier at the end of the current season.

According to The Sun, Guardiola remains a keen admirer of the England international, owing to his impressive ball-playing skills as well as the confidence in possession.

It is added that the Citizens are aware that Maguire won't come on the cheap and they may have to pay a record fee for a defender to lure the centre-back from the King Power Stadium.

Maguire only penned a new five-year deal with the Foxes at the start of the season and it is revealed that the Foxes are not compelled to sell, given the player has no buy-out clause in his existing contract.
