United to swoop for Atleti ace?

Manchester United are reportedly considering the prospect of pursuing goalkeeper Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid amid the uncertain future of David de Gea with the club.

De Gea has just 14 months remaining on his existing deal with United and there are no indications whether he would be prepared to sign a new long-term deal with the side.

As such, there has been increasing speculation that he could be sold during the summer and ESPN reports that the Red Devils may be prepared for the same.

The publication adds that the club are looking into a move for Oblak and they would be willing to activate the £104m release clause available on his contract.

The Slovenia international only penned a fresh long-term deal with Atleti this month but reports indicate that he would be prepared to part ways with the club at the end of the season.

Oblak has been in excellent form for Atletico Madrid over the course of the season and he is currently tied with Liverpool's Alisson for the highest number of clean sheets (20) across Europe's top-five leagues.
