Brandt dismisses Leverkusen exit talk

Bayer Leverkusen winger Julian Brandt has dismissed suggestions that he could join Liverpool by stating that he is content at the Bundesliga outfit.

The German has enjoyed a top season with Leverkusen this term and he has contributed nine goals and 18 assists across all competitions for the club.

Due to this, there have been claims that the Reds could make an approach to sign him with a £21.5m buy-out clause on his contract, but Brandt has indicated that he may not part ways with Leverkusen this summer.

"I'm enjoying myself. I've got a contract with Bayer until 2021, so right now all is well. As things stand, I'm staying put. I just want to end the season as best we can," he told the Bundesliga's official website.

Leverkusen secured a comfortable 6-1 triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt during their recent Bundesliga clash, but they remain outside of the top four on goal difference to the latter.

Juventus and Real Madrid have also been linked with Brandt in recent weeks.
