Herrera set to join PSG

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has reportedly finalised a pre-contract agreement to join Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the campaign.

The Spaniard has been in a contract standoff with the Red Devils over the past year and it appears that the lack of breakthrough has eventually urged him to pursue fresh pastures elsewhere.

According to The Mirror, the Basque player has finally sorted out his future and has shaken hands with Les Parisiens on a three-year contract worth £160,000-a-week.

Herrera, who has been with United since 2014, had wanted a salary package of at least £200,000-a-week to stay put with the club beyond the current campaign.

However, it seems that he has decided to accept a lesser wage with the French champions, who are assured of Champions League football for next season.

United missed out of the top four after a frustrating 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town last weekend. They end the season with a home game against Cardiff City where Herrera could feature for one last time.
