Liverpool boss planning swoop for Real Madrid star
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp have reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to make an approach to sign Marco Asensio from Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The German has already hinted that he won't make multiple changes to the squad during the summer but he is still said to hold the desire to strengthen a couple of attacking positions.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Reds are preparing to revive their long-term interest in signing the Spain international despite the fact that he remains in the plans of manager Zinedine Zidane.
The same publication suggests that the Merseyside outfit only have a slender chance of pursuing the former Mallorca graduate, considering he has more than four years remaining on his current deal at Los Blancos.
Asensio has endured a difficult season with the outgoing European champions and he has notched just one goal and four assists through the ongoing La Liga campaign. He has not started the previous three games for the club.
