Maddison to United?

Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to secure the services of midfielder James Maddison from Leicester City this summer.

The 22-year-old featured in his debut Premier League club with the Foxes last season where he made a strong impression with seven goals and seven assists.

As such, he has caught the eye of a number of elite teams and according to the Independent, the Red Devils are deemed to heading the queue to acquire his signature.

Despite this, the Mancunian giants won't be getting the playmaker on the cheap this summer with the Foxes likely to demand at least £60m to part ways with their prized asset.

Aside from Maddison, United are also looking into a move for Swansea City's Daniel James and reports indicate that the youngster could emerge as the club's first signing of the summer transfer window.

United are said to be focusing on signings with potential this summer after experiencing a disappointing 2018/2019 season where they managed only a sixth-place finish.
