Chelsea confident of agreeing deal for England international
Chelsea are reportedly confident that they can find the breakthrough over a new contract with Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of next season.
The teenager struggled for regular opportunities during the opening half of the season and that led to a formal approach from Bayern Munich in January which was rebuffed by the Blues.
Thereafter, he was provided with more gametime under Maurizio Sarri and that has supposedly made him to contemplate where to ply his trade beyond the summer.
According to The Mirror, the west London feel that they have the advantage in terms of the attacker's situation and are confident that he will commit his future on a long-term contract.
Hudson-Odoi, who has 12 months remaining on his current deal, is expected to miss the early stages of next season after undergoing a surgery for an Achilles tendon damage.
The Blues are currently unable to register any senior players for the next two transfer windows but that may change, should they manage a successful appeal or freeze the ban through the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
