Chelsea squad want Frank Lampard to succeed Maurizio Sarri

A large section of the Chelsea players and staff are said to be keen on the recruitment of Frank Lampard as their manager, should Maurizio Sarri part ways with the club.
Sarri's representatives have been in constant contact with Juventus regarding the managerial vacancy and widespread reports claim that the Italian is keen on taking over at the Turin giants.
In this case, the Blues are said to be lining possible replacements but according to The Sun, a large section of the players and backroom staff believe Lampard is the right choice for the role.
Still, the hierarchy deem the move as a potential risk for the 2019/2020 campaign, considering the Blues legend does not have any experience in terms of top-flight management.
Lampard recently excelled in his debut managerial season with Derby County where he helped them reach the Championship play-off final before succumbing at the hands of Aston Villa.
