Manchester United planning to make £49m offer for Portuguese ace
Manchester United are prepared to make an imminent bid of around £49m as they seek to land the signature of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting.
The Mancunian giants have been regularly associated with a move for the Portugal international, who bagged an impressive tally of 32 goals and 18 assists for Sporting last term.
According to O Jogo, the Red Devils are ready to step up their interest in the midfielder with an official £49m bid, although the offer is likely to be snubbed by the Portuguese outfit.
It has been previously claimed that Sporting would be prepared to accept a package between £49m and £55m for the midfielder, but that does not seem the case as they continue to hold onto the £70m original asking price.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously stressed that the club won't be overspending on any of their transfer targets and it will be interesting to see whether they will continue the pursuit of the midfielder, should their proposal be rejected.
