Manchester United to sign creative midfielder in January?
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly be offered with funds at the turn of the year in order to bolster the midfield department.
The Red Devils were linked with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Sergej Milikovic-Savic during the summer transfer window but ultimately, they could not strike a deal for any of them.
According to The Manchester Evening News, the United hierarchy are likely to hand Solskjaer with a transfer kitty for January with the need to improve the options in the centre of the park.
United have made a slow beginning to the season and they have registered just five points from the opening four matches while keeping just one clean sheet in the process.
While there has been an improvement in the defensive performances, there has been a weakness in the midfield where they have lacked someone, who can regularly bring the forwards into play.
Paul Pogba impressed in the opening game of the campaign with a couple of assists but he has since struggled to find the consistency with no contributions in the past three matches.
