Manchester United defender heading for an exit?

Rojo set for United exit?

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo could leave the club at the turn of the year with Fenerbahce planning to make a renewed approach for his services.

The Argentina international was heavily touted to leave the Red Devils last summer with both Everton and Fenerbahce interested but the club decided to block his departure.

Rojo has since made the solitary start in the Europa League for the Red Devils but it appears that he could head through the exit door when the transfer window reopens.

According to Fotospor, Fenerbahce are prepared to make a fresh attempt to sign the 29-year-old in the New Year but they are unlikely to propose more than a temporary deal.

Rojo has under two years remaining on his existing contract at Old Trafford and United may sanction his departure, provided Fenerbahce are willing to agree on an obligation to buy.

Premier League side Everton could also make a fresh offer in January after failing to land the versatile defender before the Premier League transfer deadline last month.
