Chelsea chase Assulin

Gai Assulin has been linked with a shock move to Chelsea. The Israeli 16 year old made his first international appearance this week during a 1-0 defeat of Chile. Assulin came on for Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

"Those teams are interesting and we will never say no," his agent Pini Zahavi is quoted in the Daily Star.

"But Gai feels good in Barcelona."

The youngster has found opportunities not so forthcoming at Barcelona, and Chelsea could be preparing an enormous contract to lure the youngster to London.

Assulin has been playing for Barcelona's B side - the same side that produced midfield legend Cesc Fabregas.
