N'Golo Kante speaks on his Chelsea future
France international N'Golo Kante has dismissed the speculation over his future by stating that he is committed to Chelsea until the summer of 2023 at the least.
The 28-year-old has struggled with various niggles during the first half of the current season and has been restricted to just five appearances in the Premier League.
Despite this, there has been speculation that Kante could be tempted by a fresh challenge with Real Madrid but the Frenchman is quite clear with his commitment to the west London side.
Speaking to Telefoot, Kante indicated that he has no plans of parting ways with the Blues and he intends to remain with the side until the expiry of his current contract in June 2023.
"Of course. Today I am with Chelsea until 2023. So, in my head, I hope to continue to have great seasons with Chelsea until 2023," he responded when asked about the Real Madrid link.
Chelsea have played above their early expectations this season and they are currently placed third on the league table with 26 points. Most importantly, they are nine points ahead of Sheffield United, who are just outside of the Champions League spots.
