Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur want ex-Manchester United forward?

Memphis Depay news

Depay set for Premier League return?

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on the performances of Memphis Depay ahead of a potential move for his services next summer.

The Netherlands international had a disappointing 18-month spell with Manchester United between 2015 and 2016 but he has since transformed his fortunes in the ranks of Lyon.

The Dutchman has already netted 50 goals for the French outfit during this stay and out of that, 11 have come in the current campaign from just 14 appearances.

As a result, he has been widely fancied for a big-club move elsewhere and The Express reports that both Spurs and Liverpool are keen on luring him to the Premier League next summer.

United have the first refusal option for the former PSV Eindhoven youngster and it remains to be seen whether they are interested in matching any bids from their Premier League rivals.

Liverpool are currently at the top of the league standings with 40 points from just 14 games. Spurs, on the other hand, are in the fifth spot with just 50 percent of the Reds' points.
