Manchester United to make fresh move for Danish star?
Manchester United are prepared to make a fresh move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 27-year-old was touted to join the Red Devils towards the closing stages of the summer transfer window but United could not finalise the deal before the deadline.
Eriksen has since continued his contract standoff with Spurs and he could leave the north London side on a free transfer next summer, given his current deal expires in less than seven months' time.
According to The Mirror, the Red Devils are likely to propose a mid-season deal for the midfielder and they are hoping to lure him to Old Trafford in the second time of asking.
Eriksen has the option of signing a pre-contract with an overseas club at the turn of the year but it remains to be seen whether he would be tempted by the proposal from the Mancunian giants.
The former Ajax graduate was awaiting an approach from Real Madrid over the summer but that was clearly not the case. The same could remain the trend at the beginning of the year.
