French forward eager to make Chelsea move?

Lyon forward Moussa Dembele is eager to seal a mid-season move to the Premier League amid the reported interest from Frank Lampard's Chelsea.

Earlier this month, the Blues failed with a £34m bid for the Frenchman and Lyon have since released a statement indicating that the player is not for sale.

Despite this, there continues to remain speculation that the Blues could still sign him this month and L'Equipe claims that the former Celtic man would gladly accept a move to Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Lampard has recently refused to speak on the club's interest in the Frenchman and he has stated that the club are not close to signing any players at the present point of time.

Still, he has opened the door for possible arrivals before the end of the month and it remains to be seen whether they can change the transfer stance of Les Gones on Dembele.

Chelsea picked up a comfortable 3-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday. The win has preserved their five-point advantage over Manchester United for the final Champions League spot.
