Donny van de Beek clarifies Manchester United rumours

Van de Beek clearly happy at Ajax

Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek has clearly stated that he has no plans of joining either Real Madrid or Manchester United in the near future.

The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils this month with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyeing a young and creative midfielder in the ranks.

However, speaking in an interview with Fox Sports, Van de Beek has clearly dismissed the speculation and stressed that he could stay put with the Dutch champions for the next 18 months.

"I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well. These reports about Real Madrid or Man United are a good sign, but it is not important now. I've said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so for 100 per cent," he told.

United have also been linked with a move for Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon but they have made no progress in terms of a transfer despite holding talks with the player's representatives.

Sporting are eyeing a transfer package of around £64m for the Portugal international but United continue to insist that they won't pay more than £48m for the former Sampdoria man.
