Vidic injury relief for Utd
Manchester United have been given a bonus with the news that Nemanja Vidic is unlikely to miss as much action as initially feared. The Serbian defender went off early in the 2-0 defeat of Roma.
A second scan on the damage on Thursday morning has revealed no serious damage, although the player will spend around two to three weeks of the campaign out of action.
This means Vidic will miss at least two Premier League matches, against Middlesbrough and Arsenal, as well as the Champions League return leg against the Italians next week.
