Ighalo to Man United?

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Odion Ighalo on a short-term loan ahead of tomorrow's January transfer deadline.

Ighalo has spent the past three years in China with Changchun Yatai and Shanghai Shenhua and he has impressed with 46 goals from 74 appearances.

According to The Mirror, Ighalo is keen on a return to European football this month and his services have been offered to the Red Devils through his representative.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are eyeing a short-term replacement for the injured Marcus Rashford and Ighalo is said to be an option with the manager wanting a striker with a physical presence upfront.

Aside from Ighalo, the club have also been linked with a possible loan move for Islam Slimani of Leicester City but the deal remains complicated with the Foxes needing to terminate his loan deal with Monaco first.

Manchester United registered a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final last night. They still bowed out of the competition after a 3-2 aggregate loss.
