Lingard to leave Man United?

Manchester United will reportedly sanction the sale of midfielder Jesse Lingard when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

Lingard has been contracted with the Red Devils throughout his career but it appears that he could head through the exit door this summer.

The attacker has barely featured for the Mancunian giants since the turn of the year and has not scored a goal in the Premier League for more than 14 months.

According to Goal.com, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is happy to part ways with the attacker in the summer as the club look to recoup as much funds as possible for a spending spree.

Lingard has been utilised in a number of attacking positions over the course of the campaign but he is personally said to prefer the number 10 role with the side.

Solskjaer, however, does not share the same view with winter signing Bruno Fernandes now regarded as the undisputed choice for the position. Lingard is currently valued at around £25m.
