Dick Advocaat confirms Arsenal interest in Turkish midfielder

Feyenoord manager Dick Advocaat has confirmed that Arsenal hold an interest in signing midfielder Orkun Kokcu but they have yet to make an official approach.

The 19-year-old is currently in his breakthrough season with the Eredivisie outfit where he has impressed with two goals and six assists from 29 appearances.

The Gunners were credited with an interest in Kokcu as early as the 2019 summer transfer window and Advocaat has now revealed that there is some truth to the speculation.

However, he added that the north London giants have yet to make a formal offer for the midfielder's services, he told: "It seems that what I read is true, but no one has yet come to Feyenoord. I think he fits in everywhere."

Kokcu can play in both the central midfield and attacking midfield positions but he has mostly featured in the former of those roles for Feyenoord, who are six points behind Ajax for the top spot in their league standings.
