Manchester United handed big boost in signing Mexican striker
Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Raul Jimenez with Wolverhampton Wanderers willing to listen to suitable offers this summer.
The Mexican made the permanent switch to the Wolves from Benfica in the summer of 2019 following a successful debut season on loan, where he has scored 19 goals in all competitions.
He has already bettered that tally with 22 goals in the current campaign and in addition to this, he has also excelled with his distribution, having managed nine assists.
According to The Transfer Window Podcast, the Red Devils have held an interest in the marksman since the beginning of the year and they have received a boost with Wolves open to sanctioning his sale.
However, the former Benfica man won't come on the cheap and Nuno's side are expected to demand a significant fee in excess of £65m for the experienced forward.
Aside from Jimenez, United have also been credited with an interest in teammate Ruben Neves. The Portuguese is also on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
