Mauricio Pochettino speaks on Chelsea transfer plans
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he will assess the players ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Blues have spent over 1 billion pounds on new signings since their takeover by Clearlake Capital Group in 2022.
Despite this, they have struggled to challenge for the league title and are currently languishing in the ninth spot in the table.
When pressed on summer transfer activity, Pochettino said: "We need to assess the players and to project for the future."
"That is a thing the owners, sporting directors and us, we will need to talk. We are open to talk and see when we talk."
The Blues need to recoup around £100m from player sales before they can spend again and they could offload some graduates.
Conor Gallagher scored a wonderful equaliser against Aston Villa last night, but he is one of those expected to head for the exit door.
Gallagher's sale would provide pure profit for the Blues and they are likely to sanction his sale if they receive around £45 million.
