Thomas Partey's agent provides fresh update on Arsenal link

The agent of Thomas Partey has said that Arsenal have not made contact with the Atletico Madrid midfielder regarding a summer transfer.

The Ghana international has been linked with the Gunners over the past few weeks and reports have claimed that the club are prepared to trigger the £43.5m release clause in his contract.

Amidst this, Jacob Partey recently revealed that his son could be on his way to the Premier League with the Gunners but that has been dismissed by the player's representative who told Marca that 'it's totally untrue'.

Partey has spent his entire career with the Madrid giants and he remains a huge favourite of manager Diego Simeone, who has consistently played him in the holding midfield role in recent years.

The club have already offered him with the option of doubling his wages in a new long-term deal. Through that, they are also aiming to increase his buy-out clause to £87m prior to the end of the season.
