Chelsea express interest in signing Championship winger
Chelsea are understood to have made contact with Brentford over the possible transfer of Said Benrahma at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for Brentford in the Championship and he has bagged 10 goals and eight assists in their promotion push.
According to La Gazzette du Fennec, the Blues have made it a priority to sign the Algeria international this summer, having been impressed with his performances over the course of the season.
The same publication claims that the club first expressed an interest during the January transfer window but they were unable to strike a deal with the Bees.
Brentford are one of the many sides who have been hampered financially by the coronavirus pandemic but reports claim that they are unlikely to sanction Benrahma's sale on the cheap.
They are currently said to value the attacker at around £35m and are unlikely to negotiate on the asking price, particularly if they are able to seal promotion to the Premier League.
