AC Milan remain keen on signing Chelsea midfielder
AC Milan continue to hold an interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who had a successful loan stint with them during the 2018/2019 season.
The France international is presently contracted to AS Monaco on a temporary basis until June 2020 but they have no ambition to sign him permanently as the abrupt end to the league season due to the coronavirus pandemic has put them in a financial crisis.
As a result, the 25-year-old is expected to return to Stamford Bridge in the near future but he is unlikely to be reintegrated into the first-team squad under Frank Lampard next term.
West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest in signing Bakayoko in recent weeks and Calciomercato claims that the Rossoneri have joined the pursuit.
The same report claims that Bakayoki is part of a six-man shortlist which includes Burnley's Jeff Hendrick, who could be a free-agent when the current season concludes.
Bakayoko is said to be eager for a reunion with the Rossoneri this summer but it is unclear whether the Italian side may struggle to meet the Blues' £31m price tag.
