Chelsea receive Kai Havertz transfer boost
Chelsea have received a boost in signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen during this summer's transfer window.
The Germany international has enjoyed a superb 2019/2020 season where he has registered 18 goals and eight assists and his form has caught the attention of several elite sides.
Frank Lampard's side are said to have already made contact with Leverkusen regarding a summer move for the attacker and they are regarded as the favourites to sign him.
A recent report from BILD claimed that the west London side must qualify for the Champions League in order to convince the player to join them, but BBC Sport claims that won't be the case.
It is added that Champions League football won't be a determining factor in Havertz choosing his next club thus offering a potential boost for the Blues this summer.
Chelsea are currently third on the table with a slender one-point lead over Leicester City and Manchester United with three games remaining in the season.
