Frank Lampard speaks on Willian's future
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has heaped praise on Willian ahead of his anticipated departure this month.
The Brazilian has declined a two-year contract extension with the Blues and he is scheduled to leave the club following their Champions League campaign.
Willian is set to miss the second leg of the round of 16 tie at Bayern Munich with an injury and it appears that he may have played his final game for the Blues.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Lampard said that he will have no hard feelings, suppose Willian ends his seven-year stay with the Blues this month.
"In terms of being disappointed, certainly as a club I think we have done everything we can to explain to Willian, and mine and his relationship is really close. I would have no feeling of disappointment if he does move on. He's a fantastic man and a fantastic player," He told via Chelseafc.com.
Willian's three-year contract demand has not been met by the Blues and reports claim that he is set to join Arsenal, who are prepared to offer him £100,000-a-week for the next three seasons.
On top of this, the Gunners are willing to extend his stay for another 12 months, suppose he is able to impress. That is certainly a tempting option for Willian, who is settled in the English capital.
